BACKGROUND:

From 1918 to 1933, the Prohibition Era gave rise to a large increase in organized crime throughout Detroit, MI.

The Purple Gang in particular was notorious for their underhanded tactics when it came to smuggling alcohol and distributing it nationwide, all under the noses of the local police force.

The Fifth Wall seeks to learn from the best when it comes to the strange and inventive ways that secrets are sometimes hidden from the world at large. You’ll be acting as officers of Detroit PD in an investigation that, according to our records, took place in 1928.

Here’s what you’ll need to know:

1.      You’ve recieved a tip about this location from an informant within the Purple Gang known as Bernie “The Flute” Fleiss.

2.       The stash house is located near the Stotten Street Docks.

3.       The Purples are planning something big with the Chicago Outfit.

4.       They’ve locked up most of their information and coded the information needed to open it, likely in anticipation of this very scenario.

ACTION:

Before your time is up, you’ll need to find out:

1.      The location of the Purple Gang’s primary base of operations

2.      Key characteristics of the gang members operating out of this stash house

3.     Precisely how much cash is changing hands

The Purples will return in 30 minutes. Get the info and get out of there before they arrive or you’re toast.
